Rudolph Valentino (1895-1926) was an Italian actor, born in Castellaneta (Apulia, Italy). In 1913, Rodolfo Guglielmi (real name) moved to New York, where he worked as gardener, waiter, dancer and gigolo. Shortly later, he started a successful acting carreer in Hollywood. He was the first sex symbol of Cinema history, becoming the eternal archetype of the Latin lover.
